Soft plastic can generally be categorized into PC, PVC, PS, MYLAR, etc. with varying usage. Using techniques of frontal/back printing, gilding, hairline finishing and so forth, we can instill a sense of style and quality in the products.
The processing techniques for soft plastic nameplates have also followed the footsteps for rapid growing technology. Currently, screen-printing and lithograph printing are the most common processes used. With the clash and fusion of technology and industrial techniques, an exquisite product has become a common object of desire for contemporary people. We live in a time characterized by high speed and high precision, and this undoubtedly reflects the level of sophistication and necessity for screen-printing and lithograph printing.

Characteristics

PC (polycarbonate)

Highly durable and impact resistant; offers good resistance to heat and tensile strength. Its refractive index is similar to glass and its creep resistance makes it the preferred choice among the common thermoplastic polymers.

PVC (polyvinyl chloride)

Exhibits similar advantages of other plastic materials. It is good in terms of workability and malleability. Due to its relatively low cost, it has been used very extensively. PVC is highly permeable with low flammability; a unique feature of PVC in combustion is that once the heat source has been put out, combustion will terminate immediately.

PS (polystyrene)

PS has low hygroscopicity and high dimensional stability. It can be used in processes such as pressing, extrusion and thermoforming.

Applications

MYLAR (polyester)

Mylar is heat resistant; it has barrier properties and can be used as an insulator for electricity. Not only can it be used to increase thickness and issues of unevenness, Mylar can be used to prevent leakage and offer insulation.

Various soft plastic materials (PC, PVC, PS, MYLAR and etc.) can be used to create quality products with high precision. These materials are commonly used in the design and creation of commercial labels and nameplates across different industries.
